1) I'm obsessed with this and it's making me feel like a legitimate criminal for all of the million times I've walked past MoS on Fillmore and never gone in!!
2) Piggy backing off of that, can we go on a MoS field trip soon??
Such a lovely profile filled with incredible perfume recommendations. I’ve added the rice scent, Lilac Brûlée, all the holiday picks & more to my “to be smelled” list! 👃💕
I ended up buying a bottle of Choux Choux from Ministry of Scent, but I also ordered a couple of these as samples—and plan to grab more once they’re restocked. Thank you for the recommendations!
I visited San Francisco a few months ago and MoS was top of my list to visit. Antonia and her team made us feel so welcome! I really enjoyed reading this - thank you for profiling her!
Gah this is what Substack is all about! MoS is really a SF icon and institution, yet our traditional media outlets hardly make a peep about them. Such a lovely, in-depth, and nuanced conversation about perfume. Really such a joy to read both of you get *specific and into it*!
I now have 50 new tabs open, ogling all these beautiful recommendations! This was a great interview.
Also the first/only I time I visited MoS last year, I insisted ONLY wanted to smell musky, dark, spicy things, and in a major plot twist ended up somehow walking out with the superfemme floral glamazon "Elae" mentioned here. The sales associate knew me better than I knew me 😆
